Natura Parc

Currently covering an area of 100 hectares, this park hosts production-based industrial and logistical activities. Located on the Avignon-Carpentras axis, it is in close proximity to the A7 motorway Avignon Nord interchange. The park has easy access and is one of the main economic hubs of Grand Avignon. An extension spanning 26 hectares has been planned for 2023.

26 hectares of extension

Several phases of development

In 2019, the development of the extension of the Natura Parc was entrusted to GSE by the Grand Avignon Agglomeration. Special attention will be paid to access by environmentally-friendly modes of transport and the architectural and landscape quality of the newly landscaped spaces.

The development of the first 26 hectares has been launched and is expected to be completed in 2022. This first phase of development consists of the creation of a service hub with communal spaces, catering and shared services. Eventually, a new service road will be created to support the development of daily road traffic.

With nearly 1,500 jobs and nationwide companies, such as Schenker Joyau, FM Logistic, the central purchasing centre for the U Express and Utile banners, and Suez Méditerranée, the Natura Parc is already one of the major economic hubs of the Avignon population centre.

A business park dedicated to naturalness sector

The strong development of this sector is driven by the synergy between research, innovation and major companies present on the territory.

The Naturalness sector brings together research, trade, production and control activities dedicated to natural ingredients, quality food, nutraceuticals and cosmetics.

The diversified and high-quality agricultural productions of our Region support the establishment and development of these activities.
The Grand Avignon Agglomeration has been designated leader of the Naturalness Operation of Regional Interest (O.I.R.). Each Operation of Regional Interest specialises in a sector of excellence, identified by the Region and its partners as having comparative advantages in terms of competitiveness. It is co-led by an elected official and an industrialist to bring together both public and private interests. 8 sectors have been designated “O.I.R. ”, which as positioned the Southern Region as a leader in this field.

Defining a sector as an “ OI.R. ” makes it possible to focus funding on the activities under it and to mobilize the policies concerning each of them.

The Innov’ Alliance Competitiveness Cluster, the Technical Centre for the Conservation of Agricultural Products, INRAE, the University’s Green Tech laboratory, all located near the Plan Business Park, are the key R&D players in the sector.

In addition, the expansion in 2019 of the expertise sector of French Tech Grande Provence to encompass Naturalness illustrates the mobilisation of the players of the territory dedicated to this sector.
