The Creative Economy

In Provence, a land of excellence for the creative economy

The cultural and creative industries (CCI) represent nearly €92 million in turnover in France, an economic weight close to that of the agri-food industry and twice that of the automotive industry. The state is making a massive effort of €1 billion to structure, strengthen and transform the sector in the medium term through the fourth Future Investment Program (PIA) and the Culture component of the France 2030 Plan.

The Vaucluse naturally attracts creators and artists who find in Provence a lifestyle, infrastructure, facilities and unique places. Beyond this undeniable “magic of the place”, the cultural and creative industries (CCI) have found a favourable territory for heritage, live entertainment, image and digital technology. The CCI ecosystem is in constant development with the arrival of institutions and companies, and the emergence of structuring projects. The concentration of key stakeholders thus favours the development of improvement programmes and the creation of places dedicated to this sector. Experimentation and technological innovation are widely encouraged as well as a marked emphasis is placed on the ecological transition and its virtuous processes.

–    Performing Arts: seek technological and ecological innovation as well as diversification solutions for the rest of the year.

–    Heritage: support the promotion of heritage and the creation of immersive pathways

–    Audiovisual, animation and video games: shaping an innovative and unique cluster by forming a perfect synergy throughout the sector’s value chain. Contribute to the complementarity of skills, technological tools and service offers while supporting the commitment to decarbonisation and eco-responsibility of the sector.
