Hocosto is a Dutch start-up that provides an inter-seasonal thermal solar energy storage solution for buildings. It has chosen to set up its French subsidiary in the Vaucluse, with the aim of bringing its innovative solution to market. Rico Den Ouven, Director of Hocosto France, explains that this choice was made in light of the number of days of sunshine the region benefits from and the opportunities it offers.
Connecting with the local community
The company was put in contact with VPA through the Cap Energie centre of excellence, enabling it to be supported and fast-tracked through the process of setting up the French subsidiary, connecting with the local community and seeking funding.
An effective alternative to traditional heat pump systems, the patented solar energy storage solution will ultimately minimise our dependence on fossil fuels by making buildings they are installed in self-sufficient.
This project represents a significant step forward in accelerating and expanding the region’s energy transition programme, while considerably reducing its carbon footprint.
This project should contribute to the creation of at least 5 jobs over 3 years.
